MS-4 Plan Available for Public Review

Pennsylvania has close to 1,000 jurisdictions that are considered small municipal separate storm water systems, otherwise known as MS-4.  Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) released its new permit requirements in late 2011, so all municipalities are working to understand how they are affected and prepare their applications before the September 2017 deadline.

The areas of the Borough that were mapped for storm water classification under the MS-4 program do not lead to any streams.  Therefore, the Borough will be requesting a waiver from the requirements to reduce sediment, phosphorus, and nitrogen under DEP's Best Management Practice.
